You're not alone, I've been using my laser to layout patterns for a while, precision is unmatched, works great for quilt and basket weave patterns also, once you draw a few up they're easy to manipulate in lightburn for different sizes. Awesome work as usual!

Wish I could find a pdf of that book. Trying to find ideas for a simple but still nice looking rig for my schofield replica bb pistol, one of those ones that uses the fake cartridges to house the bb or pellet.

At several points throughout the video, I heard a subtle high-pitched whine/buzzing sound. It was barely noticeable but very distinct once I picked up it was there. I think it may have been some weird pickup from the ambient noise in your shop.

Very cool. Do you thin down your antique to be able to apply it with a brush? mine always seems too thick to apply it that way.

Awesome work as usual! When you are beveling the lazer lines does it seem like it cut as deep as the swivel knife or is it more just stamping along the line? Either way it looks great.

Have you tried putting a backing into the leather before voting with the laser? Using double stick tape and a stiffener of some sort might help keep it down so it doesn't get messed up. Just a thought

Do you have any video where you go into the process of doing the computer work to generate your patterns? Or could you possibly recommend videos that would help? I’ve long wanted to get a laser to similar projects to what you do but I’ve hesitated because of the learning curve of the software. I think it would also be beneficial to be able to digitize my personal design to share them.

Another great video! There are a couple of channels I watch, not only to see master craftsmen turn out beautiful work, but because there is something that's actually very soothing and relaxing about watching the process. Yours accomplishes both of those aspects. Beautiful stuff.

Your channel and your work is awesome, I have just started my journey with leather and a laser and am curious how you deal with the soot and charing? Do you clean it with the saddle soap? Wouldn't it change the color of the tan of the leather or cause blotches? Beautiful pouch. Thanks for sharing with us all. Greg

Thanks for answering the questions about using the laser for the purposes of carving/tooling. I was going to do the same think myself, but I don't have a project that requires tooling. I am also looking into the Leather Tattooing Machine for carving.

Super clean design. That's a great little belt pouch. I'd love to see a pattern for it in a larger purse size too. Just one question - what is the purpose of the strip of leather you glued to the inside? I've never seen anyone do that before.

The fine line definition resulting from the laser burn really makes the whole design jump. I like it. You can see a big difference between the petals that were knife cut, and the ones not.
